S- Town – Season One is one of the first podcasts I listened to after Serial. And you’ll go back and forth constantly about whether or not the killer is actually guilty. You’ll come away from it wanting to know everything you can about this case. The story telling is fantastic (think investigative journalism), and the story itself is gripping. Serial (Season 1)- If you have never listened to a true crime podcast, I’d definitely start with this one. True Crime Podcasts That Are A Series (meaning every season covers one crime with multiple episodes) So, without further ado – here are the BEST true crime podcasts I’ve actually listened to, with a tiny review of each one and why I liked it. The main reason I love true crime podcasts so much is because I can pop in my earbuds and do other things while I listen. On the story of Serial, but also on true crime podcasts. I had never listened to a podcast in my life. My friend was telling me if I really loved true crime, I had to check out this podcast. I’m at my most predictable when I say I’m going to get some work done after kids go to bed but binge watch murder shows instead.Ī few years ago, my true crime podcast obsession began with none other than Serial. I can’t stand a horror film that’s totally fake, but give me true crime – and I’m ALL over it. But, there is something about studying what drives people to do the things they do that I can’t stop learning about. I have my bachelor’s degree in psychology, and I was fascinated by the mind of killers. I wanted to go into forensic psychology in fact. Them: How do you deal with the stress of being a mom?
